Storytelling: your data needs a story

You have been tracking results on your website or app. You have all the right analytics scripts set up. You login to your dashboards and what do you see? Numbers, numbers everywhere!

You are a smart person, you get it. Things are going well, everything is green. It’s red? Bad news!

What’s next? You need to tell the story!

First, give your audience an overview of the situation. Show them the Number of Visits, the most viewed pages or screens, the most used functionality, the most used button or action.

Then, explain why it happened and what made it happen. Social sharing? Email campaign? Offline campaign? Find the sources!

The last part is the about the future: what’s next. How are you going to improve, leverage or adapt.
