I have been subscribed to the DataElixir newsletters (if you’re not, subscribe now!). I recently read an article about how they built the data products at Airbnb. The growth of that company brought new challenges and more opportunities to leverage data.
For the past few years, I have been helping companies optimize their digital platform. Most of the time, they have very little data before we start the project. Our first goal is to plug our tools, find the data points and capture everything. Eventually we can make sense of it and deliver the results. After we leave, the data is still being captured and most of the time not being used.
We have been working on a data product that we will be launching in January 2016. It will allow us to establish a scalable data product for companies to use and grow.
